Hello everyone,

My name is Israel and currently live in Greenville, NC. I'm a student pilot, getting ready to solo in the next few days! I have been learning to fly on a Diamond DA40 and I have never been on a Beechcraft before. A few people recommended me this website and I thought I would check it out and learn more with the community, so here I am!

I also run a new website (East Carolina Aviators) mainly dedicated to aviation enthusiasts around East North Carolina. Everyone is welcomed there though! You can think of the website as a "Facebook" for aviators, with some additional sections such as Aviation News, Hangar Talk, Calendar of Events, etc. If you'd like to check it out, visit: http://www.ecaviators.org.

I have some of my flying lessons videos posted on this channel on YouTube if you are interested in checking it out: http://www.youtube.com/thecockpitseat.

Looking forward to interacting and learning with you all.

Get out there and fly! :-)

Hey Israel!

Welcome to BeechTalk.

There are a lot of Beech owners in the Carolinas, so I'm sure you can hook up for a flight in one of these magnificent planes...

Welcome, Israel!
I, too, learned to fly in a DA40, and although it is a fantastic aircraft, nothing beats a Bonanza (for SE, Prop flight). I recently flew a Bo for the first time, and just bought an A36TC, which is an amazing bird! I am sorry I did not get exposed to Beech planes much earlier in my flying career. Good luck and hope to see ya around...

Welcome

I have flown the DA40 about 40 hours prior to buying my Bonanza's. Great plane to learn in and get to know the G1000.

Good luck and welcome to the site. Get in a Bonanza and you will never go back !!!!!

Good evening....my name is Milt vonHahmann a new member as of today. I recently purchased a 58 Baron N58GE which needs lots of TLC and was hoping to learn some advice from current owners. I would love "any" advice from current owners of 1985 vintage 58 Baron Owners.

Milton,

Welcome to BeechTalk! Congratulations on your Baron.

You can start your own thread in "Intro to BeechTalk" and then the regulars will know to welcome you. If you include information like your home base and pictures of your plane, flying, etc., everyone will be happy and will not pester you for your home base, pictures of your plane, flying, etc.

Israel,

Good luck with your solo in DA 40.

I have been in a DA 40 once. What struck me the most was that all engine vibration is clearly visible by the vibration of the whole panel / console.

I am based at PGV as well. I fly Bonanza B36TC.

If you would like, I would be happy to give you a ride in my Bo so you can get a taste of what we talk about when we try to describe the feel of a Beechcraft. In the meantime, try to memorize the feel of the DA 40 so that you can compare it to a Bonanza.

You can ask Stuart to give you my phone number and you may call me or text me.

Israel,

I'm based out of KTTA in Sanford. If you ever get the urge to see how a Sundowner flies give me a shout.
