Hey everyone,
I'm looking to purchase my first Beech aircraft. The model I have in mind is an A-36. I'm not too familiar with Barons, most of my experience is in multi-engine military aircraft. I've been flying C-172s with my local flying club and want something a little bigger for my family. My wife is beginning to enjoy general aviation. She has always had a healthy fear of flying in anything smaller than about an RJ. A friend took us for our first flight in a Baron about a month ago and she absolutely loved it! It was great for me because she gave me the go ahead with purchasing one. I was originally looking at a Piper 32 series, but have been shown the light with Beech aircraft. My friend showed me the website and I've been hooked ever since with the VAST amount of knowledge posted in this forum. So in conclusion, thanks for those who made the website and I'm looking forward to continuing my education.
Thanks! Jessie

Welcome to BT Jessie! You will not be disappointed with an A36. A good resource is Paul McCracken - you can send him a private message if you like.

Peter,
I flew the KC-135R/T models and I'm taking a break from manned aircraft flying the government UAVs. Different not being in the jet but it is defintely an experience. I can't wait to get to another aircraft, just isn't the same.

It really makes a big difference if the spouse/family enjoys the flying hobby and participates in it. I ended up with an A36 not too long ago and I am very happy with my choice. Kind regards, Martin
