Welcome to BT.
That sure is a grand entrance with a very nice A36 that appears to have a great panel.
My brother in law flies for American. He is also amazed at the advanced state of technology available to GA pilots. Wade, I have flown Boeing and Airbus FMS. Now I am trying to learn the Garmin, lol. I hate to read manuals, so I wish I could find a great video tutorial.

Being a computer geek I never read the glass panel manuals. I know Gleis, Sporty's and King all have Garmin instructional videos. No idea of quality or price... Tim

I have been playing with it lately and I feel like I am learning the system pretty well. By the time I have the G500 installed in my plane (in ? years), I will be an old pro. As for manual, G5/600 does have a manual. Here is the link: http://static.garmincdn.com/pumac/190-0 ... 0E_Web.pdf . If you really hate manuals, then go to the Garmin Youtube channel. There are numerous tutorials, exploring many aspects of the Garmin G5/600 EFIS. Search Youtube for "Garmin G500 tutorial"

Were you ever based at DFW? Jack, No, I came to Delta through the merger. Delta was awesome to work for. In September they offered an early out that I couldn't pass up. I miss flying for Delta, but I don't miss the commuting! Dan

I was part of the mass exodus in 2004. I thought I was retiring 5 years early but, as it turned out, I retired 10 years early! You'll love this forum. It has a hell of a lot of information. Nice looking A36. Do you have a 550 or 520?
