Hi all,
I have been on Beech talk for about 2 years lurking around and using the info all of you post....thanks to all on here.... great info!!! Anyhow, long story on this A/C and I will save you the details for a later day, but I just finished getting this 1947 beech 35 serial #D-228 up and going and in annual. One of the regulars on here, Dave Biggerstaff, knows the airplane and history. The plane has been sitting in a Hangar at KMIC collecting dust since 1996. The old owner lost his medical back then and was hoping to fly in the future. Never retained his medical, plane just sat in the hangar, pretty much a mess when I started to help them out to get it ready to sell or at least to see what it needed. 2 Years later and now I own the plane....not the intention in the begining. Still needs a bit of work to get it up to date and work the gremlins out, but it seems to fly and run great so far...fingers crossed!!!! I will be using BeechTalk a lot more in the future with all of the info on here....so sorry in advance for all of the hassle coming your guys way!!!
one other thing.....you see this in the airspace over you....stay clear, just cleared 100 hours total time as a Private Pilot

I can not take any credit for all of the d'shannon mods....it came that way. Most of them were completed in the late 70s..... i think.....log book entries were kind of sketchy.

Who's her look-alike cousin in the hangar? I had west metro do some avionics repair, so that S35 belongs to a guy there that tends to fly his other plane upside down and inverted, sideways, goofy circles, it smokes a lot, but people seem to like watching him. I rented a spot in his "man cave" for a couple of months to complete some the avionics repair and to finish my insurance requirements with an instructor....can not say enough good about his shop and mechanics!!!!!!!

Who's her look-alike cousin in the hangar? You were involved the whole time.....just found about every answer on here searching. Did not need to ask. Also, I had a really good IA helping the whole time.
