I like the unopened bright coloured box they come in,
I hate painting and putting together fine detail
I hate filling and I hate sanding
not that keen on glueing
I loathe masking, am terrified of painting / airbrushing.
Designing decals is irksome as is placing them.
Putting the undercarriage aerials on etc after decaling is a real pain
Taking a photo and putting it on the shelf is good.
Then after a few days after you have forgotten the little flaws you look at the little models on the shelf and think how pretty they are....
Actually its not quite as bad as that I do like it when the airframe is in one piece and starts looking like your aeroplane, so for my conversions (Riley Heron and the Baron) which were major projects for me, these pics show happy milestones:
