Hello everyone. Just joined and am looking forward to learning a bunch from all of you Bonanza gurus out there. I have been flying for NetJets for the last 16 years. Currently on the G400. But back to the fun stuff, I am getting close to a half on a very nice A36. I used to fly them a bunch years ago when I was teaching and the Beach bug has never left. Would love all good advise and tips on a partnership. Plane and partner are top notch, more info on setting up the partnership would be great.
thanks, and looking forward to some great learning.
Jeff

Jeff - I'm in a partnership with a Debonaire. Nothing beats sharing the burdens of ownership - ferry driving and flights, negotiating services, updating data bases, and of course, sharing costs. It's like marriage I suppose, working out who gets to fly, when, etc. By the way, we use aircraftclubs.com to coordinate times and note maintenance items. Good luck and welcome ( lots of knowledgeable guys here ).

Welcome aboard Jeff. I'm in Fond du Lac, was in the Madison & Verona area today along with several others who are pilots. We were all meeting regarding a Midwest Flyer Magazine annual event. Good Luck with the A36.

Thanks everyone, I feel pretty lucky to have run across this plane and partner. I really feel like a handshake is all we need. I will work on getting some pics posted that my wife took on our test flight.

I will work on getting some pics posted that my wife took on our test flight. Jeff, Welcome aboard.... As for partnerships, they "may or may not" work out. I put the value of a plane partner above the quality of my wife. It's more serious than a marriage. Not something to do a casual hand shake on. You need a detailed written agreement on which you and your partner will operate. And this is not to specifically "force" him to do anything. It just sets the rules, if he and you aren't on a friendly relationship and willing to bend both ways, it won't work. However, the written agreement "may" open up some discussion or understanding, and if both parties are respectable folks, it will work. And you need a "buy/sell" clause, too. I've been there... and had some GREAT and some HORRIBLE partnerships over the years. I won't do a partnership under ANY terms today, but will do a "joint venture", where one party controls and the other party can come or go as he sees fit, or be terminated by the controller. I'll take either side of that, and currently do that today with a lot of things. Now, welcome aboard. You'll find a lot of good folks here, good info, and a surprising number of pro pilots like yourself that want the best from their private flying (which beats being told where to go anytime). The A36 is a GREAT plane, and it was my best over the years.

It is a 1980, Not a TN. Winters do get long and winter ops are not fun.
