Greetings From Sunny Arizona
Let me start out by saying I’m probably one of the older of the group here and after reading some of the introductions, one of the few that started out in
Naval Air. 1957 was my first intro into aviation when I joined a Blimp Squadron in Akron, OH. Now for you younger kids out there, a blimp is the thing that hovers over the Super Bowl every year as you sit there and wonder where the Packers went!
After 22 yrs in Naval Air, 17 years as the Service Manager for Airborne (now for you young GPS peoplethat’s the company that built the air pump and all the pneumatic systems for aircraft) ,,, my son serving in the air Force, and my grandson at Ft Walton Beach, FL (USAF) I’m still trying to retire.
You people out there that are retired,,, ever wonder how great it would be to have only an 8 to 5 job again?
We let’s make this short,, after solving customer problems with pneumatic systems for 17 years you accumulate a lot of information. Right now, that info is in several filing cabinets just waiting to be passed on to anyone that is trying to solve their pneumatic system problems.
It’s all free....Let’s face it, the aircraft pneumatic gyro system on aircraft is a dying breed but based on the calls I get every week most of the GA aircraft out there use that old “air power”.
If anyone needs info on a problem their having with their system or suggestions on how we might have fixed a similar problem in the past give me a shout.
Somewhere in this web site I read that I couldn't give out phone numbers or e-mail addresses but that dosen't matter,,,,if you're reading this you can get a hold of me...
Keep our economy going, fly save!
R. Heysek
P.S. If you’re ever in the Wickenburg, AZ area, give me a call we have some great restaurants out here.
