Hi all. I have decided it was time to break radio silence. I have been reading on this forum for close to a year now and have learned so much so I owe a lot of people on here. Thank you so much for all the useful information. We had a SR22 in the family about five years ago and the family outgrew it. My father-in-law also lost his medical around that same time. I have been searching high and low for a great six place replacement. We needed a big useful load and a nice range. I looked at Pipers and Cessna 210's. I am so glad my wife (also a commercial pilot) put her foot down about the the high wing stuff. Long story short we ended up with N6344J a 1982 B36TC. It has a 1365 lbs useful load, Gami injectors, a newer turbo/controller, and 150 hrs. on the top overhaul. I had Paul McCracken do the pre-buy and everything for the most part ended up smoothly. Paul does a good job and answers as many questions as you can throw his way. I had a blast flying it home from RNO to SUS. It wasn't the 500 knot GS that I am used to seeing but the airplane went where I wanted to go on my schedule. We just had the first oil change and the filter was clear still waiting on oil analysis because the airplane had not flown for a period before we bought it. We have big plans for upgrades next month at Midwest Aviation in KY. Garmin 500, GTN-750, PMA 8000BT, JPI 830, pressure system removal, electric standby gyro and dual brake install. I plan on sharing that in the panel section. We had also thought it was going to need paint. Much to our surprise and almost 'disappointment' the thirty year old paint is in almost perfect shape. The colors are kind of growing on me. The light blue would not have my first choice but it matches with the plexiglass color well. More money for 100LL now. Oh almost forgot the pictures

Very nice Michael. Pictures and everything. You must have been lurking for a while. You seem kind of young to own a Bonanza. Are you the one in the left seat or the right seat? Robert

Michael - Congratulations! Also, fantastic first post. I would give it a solid "A" performance. What a great plane, I have a soft spot for the B36 models. Thanks for finally chiming in. It took me close to a year before I went from the lurker stage. It was really guilt that made me do it. Like you, I felt like I owed many here who have posted and entertained me - so now I try and post a little more. BT would not be effective if we were all lurking all the time. Thanks for coming out. Again - Nice work! -MO

Welcome Michael, are you basing it at Spirit? We will have to get together and compare notes on PMC I can't wait to see you plane.
