Hello BeechTalk - I have been lurking on the site for the last 6 months while I tried to decide on a "next" airplane. I have previously owned a 172, a Lance, a Saratoga, an F33A and a Turbo Skymaster (let the ridcule begin .. it wasn't a bad plane !). I avoided asking for advice, as I know that posting "should I buy a Beech" on this site would have been a little like walking into a bar and asking the regulars if I should have a beer However, I want to thank the PBaron drivers in particular for all of the information they have offered in their posts. I am proud to report I am now the owner (ok 1/3 owner) of N581CB (a 1979 58P), and wow do I LOVE this plane. I have to admit that takeoff fuel flows are truly eye watering, but I am amazed that a plane with almost 1800lbs useful load handles like a sports car. Glad to be a Beech owner again ! - Greg Richards N581CB @ KBJC
