Hi Charlie, Welcome to BeechTalk and congrats on your aspirations to own a Beechcraft someday. I'm reasonably sure that with such a fine education, you'll be flying one of our planes some day down the line. Heck, I only went to RPI and I was able to realize my dream of owning a Beechcraft (couldn't resist the tech school rivalry/humor). ABS has an Ambassador program and maybe you can link up with an Ambassador in your area for a ride or spot flying trips or "hangar" flying. Also the NE Bonanza Group is a pretty active bunch. Best of Luck to you. Mike

Yeah, I went thru the "tute screw" also, but can only afford one engine and 2/3's of the tail feathers. Are you active in the MIT flying club? Don't think RPI's is very active anymore.

Quote: Are you active in the MIT flying club? MIT used to have a very active soaring club, "MITSA"....... MIT Soaring Association..... always busy on the weekends out of Norfolk Airport, IIRC. Does MIT still have a Soaring Club?

Paul,
I'm not active in the MIT flying club - it seemed rather disorganized when I first got here though it seems to be picking up some steam again and an alum just donated a C150 or 152.
