Hello All,
I live in Huntington, New York and have been looking at the 33 Debs for a few months now. I owned a 1976 Arched II for three years and sold her a few years back, she was a great airplane. I joined a flying club in the meantime, but scheduling on the weekends is tough and would love to own my own again. Enjoying your board for research so far, lots of great information here. So far I believe i'm leaning towards a simple early deb with a 470N that has been overhauled not too long ago. Looking to get back into it without lots of complexity, just simple reliability. Normal mission is under 200naut/miles, usually two/or less aboard, I avoid flying IFR, sea/level mostly, occasionally hot/short takeoffs(2500' with trees, paved, august). Retract time consists of a Arrow, and alittle Comanche 250, no Bo time yet. Any insight and info will be greatly appreciated!
-Bobby

Welcome from another New Yorker.

Why consider only the 33s? The 35s are a little better :harhar: :hide:

Edit: You're going to love the Bo. I've got a little arrow time and hundreds of hours in the Comanche 260 and absolutely love my bird. Also, if you need a good mechanic at ISP, let me know. My guy is amazing.

I have an IO470-K Deb and I love it.

33's and 35's are both great airplanes.

Bobby,
Welcome to BeechTalk.

I'm a Deb lover too.

Solid airplane, easy to fly. For the flying mission you describe, it's the perfect plane.

Thanks Guys!
Anything specific corrosion wise too look for besides the normal stuff in that vintage of airplane? I've read about the corrosion issues on the control surfaces on this forum, any where else? I guess the easy answer is to look everywhere, who's the mechanic you use at ISP? Any recommendations on a pre-buy in Michigan? And what's the going rate for a good thorough pre-buy by a Beech specialist on these birds?
