It has taken a bit of time since I sold my Mooney, but it looks like I'm am out ready to take delivery of my new to me A36 (1982). Don't worry more details and pictures to follow. There is only one hitch. The owner would like to deliver on Thursday and get a ride back Friday. I have been unsuccessful about getting off from work on Friday. I am also not checked out in the Bonanza. I would need someone in the area to fly the seller from DCU to LIT and bring my new plane back in one piece. Or is someone going from this general area in that general direction Fri PM who could give him a ride? Ideas? There is Wed a week out where I can make it work and get an instructor to fly back and check me out on the trip. Only problem is the next day i leave for a week and I want it now!!! open to suggestions that won't break the bank. Thanks for any leads. Tavis

Tavis Actually, it'll probably be better to put him on a commercial flight. Southwest out of Birmingham for $370 (may be cheaper some other way, dunno). You're probaby going to spend that much on fuel. Worth flying the A36 if you were going to be doing it yourself for cross training and shakeout with the previous owner. If you're just trying to move someone it's (generally) not a cheap option to have to go round trip with a deadhead leg. Dan

Dan Great thinking. Stressed out by focusing too much on the closing to be able to figure out simple options. Tavis
