Greetings! Ian Sage here from Forced Aeromotive Technologies (FAT). We were recently contacted by one of your members who was interested in our product and he invited us to join BeechTalk. Hopefully I can answer some questions, create some excitement and dispell some myths about our products.

For those of you not familiar with FAT, it is a small family buisness run primarily by my father, Rod and myself. We hold a patent and a number of STCs for very cool running, low boost, belt driven supercharger systems. They are designed to be light, simple to operate and as close to maintenance free as possible. I don't want to break any rules about vendors doing sales stuff outside of the designated forum, so that is all I will say here. We encourage all questions and comments and I have pretty thick skin so please don't hesitate to inquire or challenge anything I have to say.

I look forward to getting to know you all and eventually expanding our product line to include your aircraft of choice.

Ian,

Welcome!

Thank you for your support.

I look forward to hearing more about your products.

For the present can you identify the engines upon which you have mounted the SC's. ??

Wow,

More aviation innovation, that's great. I know of a V35B with an IO550 that could be a candidate.....

Max,

Thank you for the warm welcome. Currently we hold STCs for many of the O-470 line, the IO-550N and some of the O-520s. We have been able to get field approvals for a number of other TCM motors in the 470-550 range by proving similarities and obtaining a 337 for those on a one at a time basis. Injected or carbureted, big or small, we will do what we can to accommodate them all.

Jesse,

Thank you for your kind words. Innovation in aviation is all about passion for what you are doing and like so many companies in this market we are indeed passionate about what we do. I would encourage you to schedule some 1-on-1 time with that V35B you know and gauge her interest in a supercharger. Based on the work we have done before I would say there is a high likelihood we could get a field approval for her. I bet she would be very happy having another 6” to play with!

Max,

I almost forgot to mention, we currently have a running prototype for the Lycoming IO-360 as well. As certification is an unpredictable process we do not know how long until it is available, but I thought it was worth mentioning.

Mark,

That has long been one of our unofficial marketing slogans. We try to have fun when we can. I am still planning on posting in your Peddlers Talk forum but the conversation in the Plane Talk forum has unexpectedly taken up all of my online time today. I am happy to be here and happily surprised by the level of interest in what we have done. You can find the thread here http://www.beechtalk.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=44193.

Jeff,

Thank you for contributing to the conversation. It looks as though you have picked up on the basics tenants of what makes our system do what it does pretty quick. There is a lot of established thought about boosted engines that a person needs to dismiss before our system makes sense. Once that is done the idea is really quite simple. Execution was more complex than we had anticipated, but we got there.

Thanks to you all,

Ian Sage
