Hello All:

I've been a lurker for awhile, thought it best to make my presence known. I'm a student pilot out of Clow Airport (1C5) in the western suburbs of Chicago. Post-solo, currently working xc flights. Hours logged only in C172's at this point. My grandfather was a P-51 pilot in WWII and Beech guy thereafter, owned several - Deb, Travel Air. Never had the pleasure of flying with him, as he lost his medical before I was born and passed when I was six.

Hoping to keep the Beech tradition in the family one day. Renting for the foreseeable future. Our FBO rents a B24R Sierra, but at 6'8 I don't fit.

Look forward to learning more from everyone here as I build some hours and work toward the PPL.

There are many BT mambers in your area, so you may be able to snag a Beech ride or two.

However, that height challenge you possess may be trouble in several different types of airplanes.
