Greetings from the Colorado Rockies. I joined the BeechTalk forum because I'm quite fond of the Beechcraft brand. I'm a young professional, late-30's, about 8 years into my career. I hold a private pilot's license but haven't flown in 15 years! Why is a long story but let's say money is the big reason to make a long story short.
So, here I am. I miss flying in a big way and want to get back into it and continue my training. My uncle is a pilot and used to own a Beechcraft Baron, which I was fortunate to ride in as a teenager many times. I loved that airplane, which is why I like Beech aircraft so much. And here is where the dreaming begins ... After getting my business up and running, and God willing that all the pieces will fall in place, I'd like to one day have my own airplane, preferably and hopefully a King Air C90 or E90. Until then, I'm going to read and learn and continue to work hard to achieve that goal. I hope I don't sound crazy or delusional!

Welcome Todd, Please fill in your profile so that we know where you are from. Better yet there may be a BT member close by that will help you scratch that Beechcraft itch until you can get your own.

Welcome Todd and Best of Luck to you in your business. Just in case the business is not as successful as planned, here is a thought on how to prepare for some form of Beechcraft ownership: Get a 15 yr mortgage on your house, at your mid 30's age in about 12 years you'll be mid to late 40's, and the house will nearly be paid off. Then refi or sell that house and take the bulk of that equity to buy your Beechcraft. Leave some equity in the existing house or put it down on the next house. Take another 15 year mortgage and off you go....... Meanwhile you might find a decent Sierra or J or later Bonanza (with IO470 and hydraulic prop) to get into the skies until you can make a move to the next level. Just one idea that worked for me. Mike PS: all bets are off if you wait too long to get divorced (if you're going to get divorced do it early) or even get divorced at all or have a SWMBO who insists on being the CEO & CFO with your earnings.
