Hey guys, my name is Kevin Johnson, and I want to learn as much as I can especially about the Baron B55. Although my day job is that of an airline pilot flying the 737-700, I want to be able to get away from the job on my time off and still enjoy aviation without the TSA, FBI, CIA, NTSB, FAA, and the union ruining the experience everywhere I go.

Ever since my great grandmother (who raised me) noticed a 10 year old boy focused on every airplane that flew over like a laser, she knew that if she offered to take me to the airport AFTER attending church on Sunday morning, she would get what she wanted, and I would get what I wanted. 40 years later, here I am ready to buy my first airplane. So if you ever hear me say "the TSA will make ya wish ya never went to church," you will know what I mean.

So any experience you can share to help me "semi-afford" this 40 year dream, for the love of God, chime in. Steer me in the right direction, or at least away from mistakes.

Kevin,

Welcome to BT, there are plenty of polyester prophets here who will be glad to help you spend some money, we look forward to seeing some pictures of your new plane, but first Go to Church...it's Sunday.

Chris

Where are you located, what are your mission requirements (range, payload, weather capability, etc), and how much are you willing to spend?

Kevin,
Welcome,

If you complete the "Location" part of your profile, it may be that a Baron expert is nearby...

Kevin, Welcome Aboard! I have been flying Bonanzas and Barons for many years and would be more than glad to help you out in fulfilling your dream of ownership, but as Lance posted, we need to know a little more about you and your intended use. Mission profile, passengers, avionics desired, where based, etc.

From another 737 driver, welcome to BT! If you're only flying the -700, should I assume you fly for SWA/Airtran?
