Hi everyone - I'm currently flying an Arrow but looking to move up to the Beech Family. I'm having a little trouble finding a Beech product to "test drive" and I'm hoping this forum can give me some ideas to get in the air with a Bonanza, Sierra or whatever the recommendations might be. I live in the Chicago suburbs and would be interested in some sort of rental at the moment.

I have a base at Kenosha, but am in Florida for the most part... tired of winters up there so won't be there until next spring, perhaps. There's tons of good folks on this list that are in the area that could possibly give some advise, show you their plane, and perhaps give you a ride before I get back there.....

Thanks for the reply! I live in the LaGrange area and currently fly out of KPWK, so I'm familiar with your home base. I spend a lot of time in FL myself-while I prefer Naples, I've stayed in the St Petersburg Beach area many times. I hope I do get some advice since I'm anxious to transition.

Ken, Feel free to fire away if you have specific questions or have a particular mission to fly and I'm sure you'll get advise. If you're planning to use a Beech to commute down to Naples, most any one will work fairly well, but the Bonanzas have a significant speed advantage over the Sierra. Over the years, I've done that trip many times, in several different models.

Thanks - I'm just looking for a place to try one out. I'll checkout Windy City.
