I am happy to take this opportunity to introduce myself to my fellow BT members.

I am a long time ABS member, and running this year for Area 2 Director. I expect many BT subscribers have read in the forums about the turmoil early this year at ABS headquarters. Many members have expressed concern.

This year three of nine directors’ terms are over, and the Nominating Committee is providing you a choice for each directorship.

I would like to open a line of communication with BT subscribers who would like to talk about the elections, and my candidacy. Either through this thread, a new thread, PM, or email.

Please go to my web site http://www.bonanzaflyer.com, my facebook page BonanzaFlyer, or PM me here through BT.

I have been on BT for a few months. I found BT through a web search when I was trying to get technical information about the trim system on my V35B. Since then I have made a few other posts, and appreciate reading all the informative threads.

I have had my 1973 V35B for 10 years. The IO550 is at TBO, but still running well. The interior and paint are OK, but it would be nice to have a makeover. I have been wondering about putting more money into it at this point, or trading. I guess it depends on how well the engine does over the next year.

I look forward to hearing from you all and sincerely appreciate your any input you may have.

Welcome Paul, You have a beautiful airplane so dont get rid of her, just overhaul and fix the problem areas. Good luck with your ABS adventure.

Paul, thanks for your willingness to serve. You got a platform?

Hi Paul,

I have been using the resources of ABS for over 10 years, made available by the work of others. I offered to serve on the board when the request went out for names last fall. I felt it was my turn to do some work to support the members.

Re: Platform. I believe we can do a lot more draw new pilots to Beechcraft by working through flight schools and flying clubs. The population of Beech pilots is shrinking, and our average age is increasing. We need to find new members at the entry level. Right now Beechcraft has no exposure there.

I would like to hear from others as well, with any ideas or suggestions.

Thanks,

Paul

Hi Doug,

I am probably going to find it hard to trade anyway. I am kind of attached to it. It will probably cost me more to upgrade everything than I can buy one for already upgraded. But if I upgrade mine, at least I can do it over a period of time.

I'll post when I figure out what I am going to do!

Thanks,
