I've been lurking for a couple of months now and have learned quite a lot about bonanzas from this forum. Now that I am a new owner, it is time for an introduction. I have been flying a Mooney 252 out of Palo Alto for the past year or so. Two years ago I decided to get back into flying again after a 15 year break so got my instrument rating as a way to get up to speed on everything that changed. Many things changed.

A couple of weeks ago I flew my new to me B36TC from Pontiac MI to the west coast. Now it's based at San Carlos. It had been based out of Pontiac since it was new in 1984. I took the plane to Kalamazoo for the pre-buy, then did a BPPP checkout out of Gross Ile and then solo'ed to CA.

The engine runs nicely LOP. I assumed it would not and planned to install an TAT'ed IO-550 when the current engine needs to be replaced, but since it does run LOP, I'll have to give this some more thought.

I am planning to swap out the king stack and dual kln89b's with a gns480, a gmx200 and a sl30 in a week or so. Also going to put the plane on a diet. Extras like 3/8" windows add up.

It's in spot B-36 near the windsock.

When's the next bonanza event near SQL?

I'll check it out tomorrow - I have one at Charlie hangars and one at Mike hangars.

Actually I was just talking to Mike Grommet about flying somewhere cool this weekend...

My plane is in the shop but I should have it back by Sunday. I just need to confirm with the boss :) How about Willows? The food is supposed to be really good. Or Los Banos?

We can bring the wives and kids to make it all easier.

I only chose Hollister to stay out of the heat but I can deal with a little heat if need be.

Mike - let's solidify it by saying Yes!

Where is our British friend

I saw that plane on controller and fell in love with the paint scheme.
Congrats with the new purchase; we'd love to see pictures as you update the panel / engine.

I'm flying to Fresno on Saturday.... and as everyone knows, that is the garden spot of California. Depending on how the business meeting goes will determine if I can make it on Sunday.

Any chance of making it a little more NOR cali? I think I'll be "centraled" out by the end of Saturday.....

Hey, you know who has a phenomenal burger? Charles Schultz.... Sonoma Co airport.... outdoor seating... a bit cooler. New place there... it was GREAT. I'd love to go there again. Excellent chow, long hot weather runway etc... and shhhh... the greatest looking waitress on the planet.

Mike
