Ran across this forum last week and have been reading daily. I have owned my Bonanza for just over 5 years. I live in Ocala, FL and fly out of x35. The airport with the lowest price fuel in Florida. I don't get fly all that much any more since the economy has turned south so has my business, but planing on flying to my home town next month in Jamestown, NY for my 20th class reunion. I haven been flying for over 20 years and have over 2500 hours. I have my CFII and Mutli instructor rating. I flight instruct in other peoples airplanes when given a chance. The picture is from my trip home with the airplane. I bought it in LA as a 1 owner with about 2000 on it. I have flown it just about 500 hours in the last 5 years. If any of you are ever in the area and stop in for lunch in Ocala. Look me up. I love meeting new people in aviation.

Welcome to BT Steve.

That is a great photo.....you're standing in front of my families favorite nearby getaway! We make it to the Hanger Hotel every Labor Day weekend for my birthday.

We really enjoyed flying in there on the way home from LA. It is a must stop for anyone in the area. I wish it was closer. I would make it a weekend getaway.

Steve,

Welcome to BT! While our Bonanza has taken us to the Hangar Hotel (which is in nour own backyard, relatively speaking) it prefers to take us to your part of the world. I'll look you up for a $100 burger next time we are in Florida.

Drew

Steve, good to see that you are still around and still have your Bonanza. Have a good trip - and come see us at the Lakeland BPPP next year.

Is that the Hangar Hotel in Fredericksburg, TX in your photo?

Gerry

Yes its the Hanger Hotel in Texas. Its good to see you on here. I really should get to BPPP again. I think it was 6 years ago this year. I am flying up to NC on Monday to be some kids up for a friend. That should be a good 5 hour flight for the 53U.

Welcome Steve - My family likes visiting Florida when the winter gets nasty in IA. Have flown into Ocala a few times as I have a good friend who lives there - Will try and touch base next time I'm in town.

Steve,
Welcome from a fellow Central Floridian. I'm just down the way at Apopka and do practice approaches at Ocala all the time.

I would like that Buck. I use to live in Gainesville about 10 years ago. I use to work at Kenn Air as a line men and then flew a King Air for Shands for about 3 years. I miss those days and nights flying out of GNV.

Steve and Buck,

Small world.... I operated a charter company out of Kenn Air's ramp when Ken got started around 1981 or so. I also flew for a local business man in the banking business, Dennis Oneal. Know him?

Is Ken Brown still in the plane business.... heard he bought Sunny South. Haven't been there in awhile, but enjoyed my stay there.

He did buy out Sunny South and had a FBO where I worked from 92 - 97. Now Kenn Air is a corporate hanger on the field. I think everything is private now.
