Hmmm where to start... Hello Everyone, My name is Jake Mottram I am from Orange County, CA and I fly out of Corona Municipal Airport (KAJO). I am part of the WingFleet flying club associated with Fly Corona and I fly the E33 Debonair N7011N. I took my first demo flight at Fly Corona on April 30th 2009 and it all went downhill from there! I started my training May 1st and on June 4th, I Soloed for the first time in a Cessna 172 F. On October 17th, 2009, I passed my ASEL Private Checkride and became a pilot . From that date forward, I have flown 172rg's, 182's, an A36 and my favorite so far is the Debonair E33. I look forward to talking with everyone here as I am writing my name at the bottom of the list of "Aspiring V-Tail Owners"

Hi Jake, Welcome to BeechTalk. I have found it invaluable for information about anything Beech related: engines, instruments, airframe, repairs, cleaning, ... anything! I have to agree with Arlen. Loving my Debbie, don't really "need" a V-Tail. I'm based at Fullerton and currently waiting on a cylinder for my recently acquired '62 Deb, and having the original AI and DG replaced while I'm at it. It should be nearly flyable when it's done I highly recommend attending any BT fly-in you can. You'll see lots of great planes and meet lots of great people.

Hey Eric, You made a good point... I don't "Need" a V-Tail. At the rate I am going i would be lucky to have a Cessna 150 within the next 5+ years. Then again, how often do "needs" come up in aviation... its all about the "want" and the "OUCH!" from your wallet... Someday, however, I believe an A(G)36 will be in-store instead of the V just because I will need the useful load and the seats... Let me know if you ever need a co-pilot considering I am just a short hop away. MO Will pass on the hello for ya. he is currently out of state getting his CFI, MEI, CFII, for some odd reason... He passed his MEI on thursday and his CFI on Saturday, now he has his CFII checkride on Tuesday. -Jake
