Hi Everyone, I found/joined this group a few weeks ago while looking for something related to my D95A. As for my Beech it is a a 1964 TravelAir that I purchased two years ago. I am lucky to own one that has the Doyn conversion to Lyc. IO-540's and 3 bladed props. It does burn more fuel but has a gross weight increase to 4747lbs., climbs at over 1500fpm (over 2000fpm on cool days) and does 175KTAS at 19"/2250RPM. Fuel burn is 25gph so the endurance is a little short at 4:15 to dry tanks. (I am not worrying about my carbon footprint other than to make it a big as possible while I still can ). Prior to getting the Beech I bought a Cessna 170A to learn power flying but got my initial ratings in gliders (private, commercial and instructor). The 170A is for sale BTW. I finally got my instrument rating last month and am now working on commercial multi/single. CFI for ASEL/MEL will follow, then ATP since I can easily do the single engine missed at minimums in my bird. Finally, I am an A&P and it helps to be one or have deeper pckets than mine if you own a twin! Actually my TravelAir is a very simple machine and is great condition, only 2720TTAF. Thanks and look forward to learning a lot for this group. Bruce
