Hello all. I am a new member. I currently fly a Cirrus SR22 and am considering trading in for a G36 with turbo normalizing. Looking for a little more speed, additional useful load, and more room.

Hi John,
Welcome to BT.

I flew a 2004 SR22 G2 for 3.5 years. Great airplane; loved the Avidyne stuff and the S-Tec 55x. I like the way the Bonanza flies, handles, and lands more than the way the Cirrus did. I have not flown the G36, but if it's anything like my Beech, I think I can guarantee that you'll love it.

I have a 99 A36 TN and purchased it instead of the SR22 for exactly the reasons you stated. It's a fantastic plane and does everything REALLY well except warm day short field (under 2500ft), while loaded to gross (4,000lb).

Welcome John. There's no better place to learn about the Beech models.

If you haven't already, get a copy of Larry Ball's book "They Called me Mr. Bonanza". It has detailed year by year model changes through the mid-90s iirc.

If you are looking for something more recent, this board is probably the best resource.
