Hello All-

It’s great to find this forum of Beech owners and operators. I’ve been flying Beech products for a long time starting with a B36TC and progressing through a 58P, a Starship and then a Beechjet 400A. Now that the dust has settled, I still have the 58P that is in dire need of a new panel, which I hope to address shortly. With all the new digital stuff out there, the old steam gauges (KNS-81) have got to go. Anyway, it’s good to be here and I hope to make friends with many of you.

Bill

OK, I'll take some of the Baron shortly, and dig trough the archives for pics of the Starship and the 400A. I've still got the models of the two that Beech coughed up after I bought them, how about pics of them?? LOL

Welcome Bill! I think I saw your airplane (and probably you) at the 1999 Gathering of Mustangs and Legends. Do you still own and fly it?

Thanks Neal
Yes, still have the Mustang and I get it out every few weeks. Did you make the Gathering in Ohio? It was a great show with a ton of action.

Sadly no...I have a lot of buddies from airline who made it out there though. They loved it. I'm still proud to say I made the first one. I was a senior in college and "air tripped" it down from Durham, NC with 2 other pilot friends. We went to the Mustang deal as well as Sun and Fun. Also hit Key West. Killer trip for a few college guys.

I'm actually out in Vegas a lot. For some reason I ask for LA, SF, and SD trips and the powers that be assign me Vegas. Also have had 2 bachelor parties there recently. Too much of that town for a single guy can be a major problem...

I actually met Ed Shipley back when he owned Big Beautiful Doll while I was working at the Chapel Hill Airport pumping fuel one day. It was an incredible first experience with a Mustang. I was 21 and in awe of the sound and his airplane (and how well he flew it). Little did I know at the time that I had met one of the biggest Mustang experts in the world.

Welcome to BT Bill. Can you send us some picture of the Alien Invasion in Area 51? Would there be a guy named Yves near the crash site?
