Well looks like its time to completely "de-lurk". My name is Harold Cannon, and I've been here for a couple of months, and even have posted twice. But fear of putting a jinx on a pending deal for a 1999 BE-58 has kept me kinda quiet. I'm based in Owensboro, KY (KOWB), and have been flying since '92. I bought my first aircraft with about 10 hours in my logbook and never looked back. That was a Piper Archer II, which was great for primary thru inst., and after about 300 hours it was replaced by an A36 . Following what seemed like a reasonable interval (300 hours again) the A36 gave way to a wonderful E-55. If I had anything to do over again I would still have that airplane (1981 and 12 from the end of the production run). However onset of a bad virus (warbird fever) lead to an AT-6, which morphed into a T-34 (ok, I like them all, but this one has a special place...Beech after all), and a L-39 replaced the Baron. Somewhere along the way I parked too near the liason aircraft at OSH and a Piper L-4B and a Stinson L-5 air ambulance followed me home. If you are counting this means four warbirds and no "practical" airplane (Although the T-34 comes close). So, flash forward to present, after a business trip in November which included shoes off and pat down (does TSA really stand for "takes shampoo away" ?), I complained to a "friend" that airline travel just kinda, well you know, blows. Within a couple of days he had emailed me pics of the BE-58 his FBO buddy had just acquired for sale. Maybe I should say bad influence fellow aircraft junkie instead of "friend". Long story longer, after some interesting negotiations with the bank holding the note on the plane (draw own conclusions.....but this might be the best deal I have ever seen) the Baron was mine. I think that I should mention that I have three wonderful kids, the oldest just out of college and living in NZ for a year (and paying for it herself ), the next starting college in the fall (mainly to play football...more on that another day ) and finally the 9 year old "brainwave" of the family. She tells me she is going to MIT. I'm spending her tuition at the airport. I've been lurking long enough to know that at Beechtalk if there is no picture, it didn't happen. So, if I can figure out how to upload them, pics will follow.

I get through OWB on occasion, with several trips from FL to WI. Our Midwest Bonanza Society, which Im very active, has an annual fly in at Rough River, KY, early every May, just down the road from you. We've used OWB as an alternate when we couldn't get in a few times. Love your hangar....
