Hi Everyone, I want to be a Beechcraft pilot. I’m just getting back to the general Aviation and in searching for a Baron. I preferably would like a B 55 but I’m not against a B 58 if I can get one at a fair price. It’ll mostly be just me and my wife so I don’t need the extra room really. I’ve been searching around the usual online sites trying to find a plane. If anybody knows a better place for me to look or has leads on a nice airplane, please reach out. I would really appreciate it. Thanks so much. Dan

Get the barn doors.
"Better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it."
Then there's resale.

Hi Dan, Great choice! Check out this low AFTT time B55 out that just completed an Atlantic crossing over from Scotland and currently resides in Pottstown, PA (KPTW) https://www.csobeech.com/N81AB.htmlMike

Both the B-55 and B-58 make excellent Beechcraft choices, great balance of performance and capability. Curious: what’s your target budget and mission (range/typical trips)?

We're using RAG-AI to help you go through those logs in a very through way. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions. --paul

I own and Aztec so this question is really out of my lane. I did consider 55’s and 58’s during my search. My need for big UL and roomy cabin led me away from the Beech options.
If it was just me and the wife I’d be focusing on the 55’s 100% for a lot of reasons.

Welcome, Dan.
Great choice with the Baron. A B55 sounds perfect for you and your wife, though a clean B58 at the right price is always worth a look. Beyond the usual sites, some of the best Barons sell quietly this forum, Beech shops, and word of mouth are all great places to check.
Condition and maintenance history matter way more than year or model. Glad to have you here, and good luck with the search.
