Phil, congrats on the retirement!

I remember eons ago Mike would post on CPA some tidbit about the new Mustang (I think?) design from the "mystery brother".

Welcome aboard Phil! It’s always nice to see someone’s true passion for aviation. And even more so to see a family involved. Cool.

Phil,

I’ve got to ask? Do you and Mike ever argue?

Opinionated brothers of French descent? That seems unlikely…

:D :peace:

I can answer that. I’ve seen it. And I didn’t understand anything either one of them said! :D

A warm welcome Phil! Congrats on the retirement. Many of us are familiar with the movie characters Dumb and Dumberer.
You and Mike should do a movie titled Smart and Smarterer”
And no- I’m not suggesting which brother gets which name ;) :pilot:

We discuss things, which to non-engineers can look like an argument.

I also try to be very sure myself before I ever accuse him of being wrong. Of course, everyone should always do that with anyone else!

We’ve all learned that lesson! Mike can be a lot of things, wrong is seldom one of them!

Welcome Phil. It’s nice to have another engineer posting, especially one with your aviation background. :peace:

Sometimes it seems there's no worse fate to a good engineer than to be the wrong one in a discussion or disagreement. That said, some of us are willing to be "wrong" even when we're right or as is the case more often, when there's no "right" answer.

Most of the best engineers I know use the phrase "I don't know" pretty frequently.

Welcome to the BT hangar. I look forward to reading your posts! Mike has been a wealth of knowledge and gently taught me a few things in the threads.

I'd wager that the majority of BT participants have learned a thing or two from Mike's posts.
