Hello everyone,
Just bought my first plane, 1963 Musketeer. I am an A&P from CT, bought it on the cheap. Not much in the way of log books and it sat for quite a while. I am close to get my private pilot license and was looking for something to build time. I plan to go through the entire plane and get it airworthy.
If anyone has any pointers as far as, look out for this on a Musketeer or in any single engine plane for that matter.. I am all ears.
Also, is there any source to cross reference Beech part numbers? Looking up aircraft (general aviation) parts makes my head hurt, I have the Beech 23/Musketeer parts manual, find the part number, Google the number and half the time just get a listing from Textron saying, we may have it, call us. I try and look on other sites (but mainly Aircraft Spruce) and the model applicability is listed every once in a while.. How is it so unorganized or is there something I am not aware of?

Congrats! Musketeers are a great first plane. So happy to hear you're gonna keep this one flying.
Second the recommendation to join beechaeroclub.org - you'll get all your questions answered there.
I've posted a bit on fixing up my Musketeer. Search on my name and you should find some good info. PM with any question.
