Good evening,
I am ready to pull the trigger on a 58P or a Piper Malibu. Interested in any comparisons, and especially the following WRT to the 58P:
1) Things to look out for on a 58P (any bad years, engines, mods, etc, etc) 2) Recommendation for pre-buy inspection mechanics 3) Recommendation for getting initial and recurring training (I am in KROC - upstate NY) 4) Realistic fuel burn at what speed? (I see so many numbers its hard to know who to believe)
I also want to share and get feedback on an experience I had: My wife and I took a flight in a 58P. I liked it, but she was in the back and DID NOT. Felt sea sick. I have heard this from others. I asked the pilot/owner if he had the yaw damper on, he said, he doesn't use it.
Thoughts on this?
Look forward to the conversation. I don't know if this is considered good form but if anybody wants to just call and chat here is my number 585-278-6308.
Cheers Mitch
