Aircraft: Baron 55
Hello From Arizona:
I've owned My B55 since 2001. 1979 TC2271 Colemill.
Recently updated to Garmin Glass panel & replaced all 6
Engine & Prop controls. Have flown the Baron 1,100 hours of
Safe and enjoyable flights as far as Indiana & San Francisco and many destination in between.
Over the years have been involved with most maintenance supporting my IA
and learning all the time from this forum and the ABS.
Recently upgraded interior, finished the avionics upgrade and waiting for my turn
for paint at Arizona Aero Painting.
Grateful to be part of this flying community.
Russ

Welcome Russ! How long is the wait at Arizona Aero Painting? What do you plan to have them do?

Thank you Chuck. Looking forward to my annual trip to Lowell Indiana over Memorial Day.
Received a call from the paint shop a few days ago, she's in for a complete exterior
Makeover. Still trying to decide on colors.
Regards,
Russ

Hello Sven,
The wait varies, I have wanted to paint the Baron for years and finally got in line.
My wait was about 18 months, including a call when I was in annual during the height of covid and had to pass initially.
It's an exciting time with a fantastic paint shop.
Arizona Aero Paint is close to my home base if CHD.
I'm still debating paint schemes.
Don & Chris are extremely knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating.
Thanks for reaching out, best wishes.
Russ

Thank you Sidney,
I will get some photos asap & post.
After the avionics upgrade, I flew the plane getting used to the new equipment and then unexpectedly put her in the paint shop. I have some photos of the progress and a few close up of the install but not a complete view if the panel. I need to do that!

Hello Robert,
I use a An IA that works at the Gateway Cessna Center.
He does work at CHD afternoons & Saturday's.
Unfortunate overly committed, I help in when I can on other planes so he can get to mine.
In the 20 years I have had the Baron I have been around when wrenches are turned.
I had some disappointing experiences with Cutter and other outlets over the years. Don't like to lay for fixing things that aren't broken, or replacing parts as a mode of diagnosis.
What sources do you use for your maintenance?
