Hello,

I am a perspective buyer probably in the next 1-2 years (hopefully sooner!) and am starting my research on what route would be best from my family and mission and am excited to search through the forums and learn all I can.

A little about myself I have been flying airplanes since high school and back then I got my HP endorsement in an A36 and just loved that airplane. I also spent 8 years in the Army as an attack helicopter pilot flying AH64s and deployed a couple times to Afghanistan. Now, I work air cargo flying 767s and will be moving back over to 121 passenger flying next month at my destination airline.

Thanks for having me,

Nick

Welcome. You must have some great storied to tell. You will love the Beech - I have a Baron that has been great for me. Along with Beechtalk you may also want to join the American Bonanza Society. Both are a great source of information. Good luck with your search.

Where will you keep your Beechcraft? I’m based at Stafford Regional Airport (RMN).

Thanks James, I have a few lol. I will be sure to check them out as well. I was leaning towards an older 4-5 seater to start out with as a first plane but my wife said we don't need a starter and should just get a twin  so I'm looking into the 55 Barons, but like probably everyone else the operational/upkeep cost difference is what I really am looking to research.

Hey Kurt, planning to keep it at CPK or PVG. Will be up in your neck of the woods at least a few times of the year for short work commutes for her.

Welcome. There is a BPT in Norfolk @ Signature starting Friday. I would suggest stopping in and getting to know Kent Ewing who is one of the local instructors. I have flown with Kent for years and he is an outstanding instructor.
