Hi Beechtalk! I’m about a month into owning an S35 and am loving every minute of it so far, even though my bank account definitely hates me. Flying’s been a dream of mine ever since I could remember anything (some of my earliest memories include begging my parents to buy MS Flight Simulator 2000, 2004, and X and putting hundreds, maybe thousands, of hours into all of them), so getting my PPL back in March still has me pinching myself today. Since getting 224HP last month, I've spent nearly every second of my free time browsing BT, reading prior editions of the ABS magazine, or working through the BPPP online courses (when I'm not flying it of course!). I've accumulated about 30 hour since picking it up, with most of that time being transition training, IFR training, and a smattering of fun XCs thrown in (went from OAK-FUL and back on July 4th to pick up some delicious pastries from Portos). Very excited to learn as much as I can about my Bonanza from all of you. Also, if anyone is in the Bay Area, would love to meet up! Welcome to ownership, Cody! I also have an S35 that's new to me this year. It's not as pretty as yours, but some day it will be. The first year is about getting to know your bird, making a list of wants / needs and prioritizing what gets fed money first. My plane is in Salinas where I can afford rent. I'm up in Oakland almost daily as I fly charter departing from Signature @ KOAK. There's another S35 in Watsonville owned by the airport manager who sometimes chimes in here on Beechtalk.

Would love to see some pics of your S35. I think I actually emailed you a few weeks back about your EDM-800 on barnstormers..Small world, and is it still available?

Good evening Cody and welcome to BeechTalk. Nice to see another "S-Model" on the forum. Here's a few pics of Five X-ray Lima. She's one of the early S-models, s/n D-7321.
