Hi, I'm Dick and I'm an alcoholic - oops, just kidding! Dick Kreidel from Polson MT near Glacier Park. 70 years old, and have been flying my LongEZ the last 38 years, but it's just too small, and I'm getting too old to lift the nose and climb into the EZ. It's been to South America, all through the Caribbean, Newfoundland, PEI, most of the Canadian Provinces
and every state except Hawaii.
I've been looking for the right V35 for the last 6 months, but haven't quite found it or it was gone before my first call to inquire.

IO-550 or second choice is IO-520-BB
tip tanks
serviceable avionics - I'm color blind and the GTN's are hard for me to interpret. Steam is fine.
good A/P

great interior, paint doesn't matter
good glass
large baggage door
I fly the EZ 875 nm non-stop each way to SoCal every month, and want to make it non-stop in the V35 too. I've been doing it in the EZ at 180KTAS at 17.5 , 33-34 gallons each way. I'm not going to like flying a little slower, but as long as I can go non-stop 170KTAS will be okay
No V35 time, a little F33C time, about 3,000 hrs logged and most of it in retractables - the EZ counts
I Can get insurance, about $4,000 with $175K hull. Was told it will drop once I get 40-50 hours in the V-tail.
Why a V-tail? I just like it, always have, and since this will likely be my last plane and I want what I want - dumb, I know.
What else do I need, or what to watch out for?
Thanks
Dick
