Hello all, I joined BT a little over a month ago when I started looking to purchase an A36. I was very fortunate as a kid to fly a 1970 A36 for about the same cost as a C172, and in 2000 became a partner on the same plane. We upgraded to an IO550 with TAT TN. Unfortunately, one of the partners had an engine failure over the mountains in Baja in 2006 (most likely water ingestion). My purchase offer on 1993 TN A36 was just accepted, so hopefully prebuy will go well and I’ll be an owner again! Will be based at Palomar, Carlsbad CRQ.

Congratulations Dave! Fingers crossed for your pre-buy. There are a few of us local SoCal Beech pilots who meet up to show off our planes and share some info over a bite of food from time to time. We're hosting a Beech Fly-In at Ramona on Saturday May1st. Check out this site for details and to register if you can come. Hopefully we'll get to say hi in person one day. http://beechflyin.com

Hey Dave Welcome to BT! When you get a chance show us some pics of your new plane. I used to enjoy flying into CRQ and having lunch on the upstairs deck overlooking the ramp.

Might have to park there for a short while, hanger is rented until June 1. BTW, is the SS fuel pump on north side in service, and price?, no way am I paying the FS prices when OKB is so much cheaper.

OKB used to be the cheap fuel in the area. Now it’s L18, Fallbrook.

Yes, it’s in service, but I noticed that Western Flight stopped publishing SS fuel price in ForeFlight some time ago. I fueled my plane up earlier today, and I believe it was $4.99/gal (can’t find my receipt from today but have one from mid-March).

Thanks, $4.99 is sure better than the $6.99 they want for FS!

I’m sure I’ll be able to make an event soon though.

Username Protected wrote: It isn’t $4.99; $5.89 is the current price of self service on the north side. http://westernflight.net/tnf/pricing.htmlI’m pretty sure it was still $4.99 when I fueled up today. I don’t have a receipt, but pre-authorization for 38 gallons was $190, so it all checks out.
