To be clear, I hadn't even heard of this group until lately. I am a retired airline pilot and haven't been involved in general aviation since the mid-1990s. Before then, I owned and flew several airplanes. Memorable were a couple of 172s, a T210, and a Piper Aztec. I never owned a Bonanza, but I do have a fair amount of time in them from renting a friend's 1955 F35 several times over the years for various vacation trips.
I joined this group in order the share his recent Facebook post about having to sell his beloved Bonanza. He is now in his early 70s and has lost his medical with little hope of ever getting it back. So he is selling the Bonanza he has owned for 35 years. He is including aviation maintenance items he kept when he and his dad closed their FBO years ago. Included are two spare engines for the F35, an engine stand (on which one of the spare engines is presently mounted), and a floor jack.
The airplane and all extra parts and equipment are in a hangar in Union City, TN. Once I am permitted to post a notice in the aircraft for sale forum, I will finish more details and a picture of the plane itself (if I can figure out how to do so). If anyone wants a preview, you can PM me and will respond to you directly without violating the rules of this forum.
All that said, I am glad I found an active general aviation forum discussing all things flying. I enjoy vicariously living the adventures of current pilots as they exult in the pleasures of flying light aircraft they themselves own and maintain.
Thanks, and good luck to you all.
