Good morning all! New member and owner of N8887M a 1965 beech musketeer. Flew my new baby home from California to oregon and have fallen in love with the beech! I’m hoping a Sierra will be in my future or perhaps a BO after a year or two. Just want to punch my ifr and commercial ticket here and get comfy. I’m a new pilot just under 200h and have about 30h in a pilatus pc12 (the benefit of being a flight nurse with cfis as our pilots). Love the trailing link gear! I am excited to start doing angel flights but really would like my ifr before I’m playing around with the PNW weather lol. Look foreword to meeting people and learning about the pros cons of everything!

Good afternoon, folks! I've been an active reader of BeechTalk for about 3 years, with only a couple of posts a year ago. I got into flying young. Got a chance for a ride in a c172 in 1968, while in college at NCSU, and was hooked. Started flying with my food money, out of RAL (long gone), soloed. Into the Army after graduation, went to Fort Bragg, got into a flying club at Simmons Army Airfield, finished my Private, then Commercial, then Instrument rating before heading off to Vietnam. Life then happened.... Married in 1973, flew intermittently but could never find the time and money to get serious. Had about 375 hours as of 2017, about 250 of which were pre-1972. Approaching semi-retirement, I got current again and started looking for an ownership situation. Moved to the NC Outer Banks, met Charlie Davidson and bought into a very nice S35...and made a great friend in CD, a former ABS board member. Now 3 of us in the partnership, and I'm trying to hit about 70 hours per year. I suspect there are a lot of stories like mine out there. Thanks to all the heavy hitters who make BeechTalk such a wonderful resource for us all.
