Hi Megan,

Welcome! What do you fly for work? And, if you don’t mind me asking... how and when did you get interested in aviation? I wish my daughter would fly, she loves to go flying, but has only had a casual interest in getting a PPL. I have three kids and only the youngest says he want to become a pilot, he’s now 16 and does nothing but play video games, so I am slowly losing hope.

That looks like a G6 cockpit.

Welcome Megan!

Welcome Megan, you are going to have a lot of fun and get much advise. I've worked on the Bonanza series, rebuilt and flown them. So like they say in SoCal, don't let the gloss draw you in. Have fun with those pre-buys and pre-flights. ;)

Close. I can't read the center pedestal switch left of the throttles. if it says "Lateral Control", it is a G450. If it says "Spoiler Control", it is a G550.

Join the ABS, and read read read, best money ever spent.

When I was looking for a dedicated aircraft I didn't even know what a Beechcraft was - I think my first thread in this forum was a bombshell to the affect of "why do the tails fall off".

Many years later now, I couldn't imagine flying anything else - once you go Beech nothing else is even close. Ignore the fluff and look for the facts. The V35B is the nicest airplane I've ever flown. Good luck in your search, and research research research.

Ah. Didn't know either of those HUD's. Thought that was a G6 thing only.

Corporate/Airline flying is pretty boring stuff. For a change of pace try one of these. Oh, the Bonanza is a great airplane too. It's just a lot like Corporate/Airline flying.

Yes, both the G450 and G550 have HUD options. We used our HUD in all flight regimes and with infra-red runway in sight, were able to go 100' below DH.

Megan, what state is home originally? Did airlines move you to Cali?

Hi Michael, I grew up in PA but did most of my primary flying in MD. I moved to LA to fly corporate!
