Hello All:
Retired last March and had promised myself long ago that I would get back into the cockpit after 14 years. Covid delayed the process for a bit but started flying again (172s) in Sept. Great to be back in the saddle...even if in 172s. Owned and flew a Swift back in the 1980s--fun machine. This time around I'm looking for a P or S Bonanza. Looking forward to the process and spending some quality time here and on the ABS site.
My ex-college roomie (retired UAL) is a long time Bonanza owner and an AI. I'll have the good fortune of having his counsel in evaluating potential buys and for doing the pre-buy.

Come to Our Third Thursday BBQ at MCW and get acquainted! We will probably restart up in March when we can open the hangar door to clear out the Covid.

Bill/Doug:

Not really based anywhere yet as I'm still renting out of Exec 1 Aviation at KIKV (Ankeny). Hope to find "the right" P or S Bonanza by this spring or summer. The waiting list for a hanger is years long at KIKV so not sure where I'll end up basing for the first year or two. On the waiting lists up at Ames and Boone too. Right now I'm reviewing a lot of stuff on the ABS website....what a fantastic resource!

Checked out those links Doug. Good to see neat stuff is happening up there. Used to get up there back in the 90s for the proverbial "hundred dollar hamburger". May pop up there soon in a rental (after the deep freeze) just to see what's going on...

Nick
