Aircraft: Musketeer Sport 180
Hi everyone!

I recently got back into flying after a 15-year hiatus and, as one does, started looking at planes for sale. Though I was initially planning to rent for a year or two, this 1974 Musketeer Sport 180 (more on that model name below) was available at my local airport. I'm hoping it will prove to be a good plane to build time in, as I'm still a relatively low-time pilot, but also one that has some room to grow, and one I can take family and friends in once I'm more familiar with it, and once the current human malware situation improves.

As for the model, it started out as a B19 Sport, but it was factory upgraded with a 180 HP O-360-A4J, it has two doors, and spin fairings. It's effectively a Sundowner; it just doesn't have the third window on each side.

Good choice on the purchase. Is that Harvey?

Yep, that's Harvey Field. I did my training there back in the day and I'm really glad I was able to find a suitable airplane for sale there. I simply took over the hangar rental from the previous owner. I was looking at the usual Cessnas and Pipers and, if one had been available locally that fit within my budget, I would have been happy with it. I'm glad to have the Beech, though. While Musketeers aren't exactly rare, they're not as well known and I think that adds a bit of cool. The plane has character, especially given her unique history. She's a bit of a unicorn, and that's reflected in the unicorn decal on the tail.
