Virtual introductions seem like the norm now, so this is easy...about to become a Bonanza 36 owner, jumping in with both feet.

Currently on AD at Ramstein, Germany and moving back to the US this summer. Waiting on official assignment notification, but likely in the FL panhandle region. Was lucky enough to stumble on another BT member's plane (also on AD in the USAF) that he was selling, so going through the motions to finish the buy.

Will be very excited to be back in the States with the ability to actually fly her! :woot:

Looking forward to learning about plane ownership, and especially Bonanza ownership!

Welcome Fog!
I'm guessing you are headed to Eglin or Tyndall. I loved my time at Eglin in the late 90s
Good luck with the 36!
Your new BT bros will be valuable connections if you have to get your new plane away from a hurricane :bud:
Hopefully will never be an issue

Scott

Scott,

Thanks, definitely is one of my concerns regarding how to execute Operation Abandon Family with a Bonanza! (joking...somewhat.)

Cool part about BT is that there are a number of guys on here you can trust. There will be people who can help with a hangar inland or a safe tie down if need be. Even if it turns out you moved the plane when you didn’t have to.
I’m sure you have seen the pics at Tyndall when the last bad storm hit a few years ago. That was ugly

Every time we had a potential landfall when I was at Keesler or Eglin, I would have been really tight on time tying to get a bonanza out of dodge by myself. Too much other stuff to take care of.

Getting to know people here- there are plenty of guys who would drop things to help. It just takes two of us to fly down and pull your plane out of there.
Hopefully will not be an issue, but it is nice to have that contingency plan
