HELLO ALL ! Andy Smith here from Frisco, TX and Broken Bow, OK
I purchased my first, and likely last airplane, N334R from another TX Beechtalker in August of this year, and I'm completely in LURV. She is a beautiful, low time (1700 hr), dry country 1991 F33A with a wicked panel, factory, air, new carpet and interior. Her engine is a little tired, hence there is a IO550 on the horizon in the Spring of 2021. (Please send any advice)
Sincere THANK YOUs go out to the following Beechtalkers who mentored, guided, and trusted me to fly their planes as I transitioned from zero Complex / HP time to almost 200 hours in BE33s in 18 months, and no bent metal.
Adam Basden - fellow F33A driver / owner N502TJ
Bryan Kutcher - ABS Instructor
Patrick - Fly CTL (yes Patrick I am working on my Instrument rating)
Justin Morton - fellow F33A driver / owner N121RW
Paul Sargent - ABS Instructor
Friends and mentors cautioned / warned me about pain and frustration at my first Annual inspection scheduled only 4 months after purchase. Possible months down and tens of thousands of $.
Well I'm coming out of Annual this week, and its was only two weeks down and 4 digits (barely), even with an overhauled cylinder, new brakes, tires, and several upgrades including LEDs, door steward, and a 4 step paint restoration that required about 30 man hours. a sincere THANK YOU to Nick Robinson - Lyfe Aviation at Dallas Executive. I'll give them a more thorough shout out in a separate post, the deserve it.
Thanks all ! If anyone needs a ride back and forth from N Dallas to Broken Bow, OK, 34Romeo makes the trip A LOT. and 45 min is a lot better than 3 hours......
