Hi BeechTalk!

First off, thank you all for providing a great community.

Well I am not yet an aircraft owner but I just love the V-tail and hoping to purchase one. I'm 44, grew up in southern California but moved to the suburbs of Austin Texas last year. I began my PPL training back at the beginning of 2018 at KFUL and passed my checkride in August of that year. Since I've been in Texas I've done some flights with Pilot's Choice out of KGTU and looking to get more involved in flying here in Central Texas.

Couple other things about me. I'm 6'7" and astronomy is another hobby of mine. I have a couple of scopes, one of which I built. Also, I've had a career in IT for the last 25 years.

Thanks,
Tom

Make sure you get a throw over yoke, trim seat bottom foam down and fly with the seat back one gear notch....it will be tight...

I have yet to sit in a Bonanza and hopefully I can find someone in the area with one to get a feel for how I'd fit. It has to be better than a 172 or Archer. Also, thankfully I'm not too wide (230 lbs)

As has been said, don’t judge them all by just one seat.

I’m 6’4 and luckily the first Bonanza I flew (the one I bought) had blown out seat foam. I only learned of that when I started flying others that the seat foam makes a huge difference in head room.

Good luck in your adventure.

Thanks! I'll definitely keep that in mind.
