I have been following BT for awhile now. Great for info. I repurchased a 1960 Travel-Air. I originally purchased it 25 years ago, did some upgrades to it and then sold it to one of my students. He owned it the last 20 years and took awesome care of it, I always told him let me have first shot at it if he ever sold it --- Well here I am, It's mine again. Kinda like selling your high school Camaro and then getting it back 20 years later. Having most of the avionics updated to glass and looking forward to making x countries in it.

I'm on what appears to be a forever hangar wait list at Herlong (KHEG). Plane is currently base in Indiana where it has been the last 25 years. Makes for long drives to go fly - LOL -- Hoping to get it home in the next 6 months.

I”know a guy”.

It's too nice to tie down outside. I checked and the bulk and paint hangars aren't available temporary or permanent either, so they say. Actually been kind of a bad experience with them. I have several friends there and it's 5 min's from my home or I would probably just go to Lake City

That's where I'm at. It's an hour and 15 min drive door to door from KHEG. You had a bad exp at the FBO or N. Fla aviation?

From where I"m at 25 nw of KJAX it takes me 45 minutes driving 55 enjoying the rid to drive the KHEG. I used to maintain a T-6 there for a friend /DPE Knickerbocker.
Or 55 minutes from me to down town Jax.
I drive slow with cruise control on with whippersnapper old ladies screaming around me shaking their fists.
Hangar spots are available here at 3J6 to put up a hangar with a 15 year lease of the ground, and then the lease continues if you want. Of course you can sell it any time.
There are two Barons here. A 95-55 and a NA56TC. As well as a Cub and a couple T-6 and a Navion. Even a Cirrus. I'm the only one who loves here.
Paved, 2500' with clear way both ends and a quiet 4 lane road up from 295.
Oh, by the way of Vref values your airplane at 7500 or less and Georgia tax people accept that value then there is no tax.
