Hey BT fam,

My name is David and I recently got checked out in my family's A36! :D

Introducing N830TD, purchased in 1987 by my grandfather, Thomas Dwelle (yes, he was born on August 30th). As my cousin says, "it's always been in the family and always will be." It's been a joy and an honor getting to know this beautiful airplane.

Looking forward to getting to know all of you as well.

Blue skies,
David

wow. Notable introductions at Auburn should be:

Bill Cola. ( a great pilot and personal friend)

Jerry Wagner. ( another pilot. ....whom I've never met.). :)

I also think there's a great Avionics shop there. (and cheap-ish Avgas IIRC).

Welcome aboard!

Welcome David! What a awesome Aviation family you're in. We care for the family 172 that the other David flys. Some of the nicest and smartest minds in aviation are here.

Beautiful bird, I’d like to say hello to Col Bud Anderson before some of the delegates.
That’s a great story to have it passed down the line.
Mark

Your family has a few more fun planes I suspect you’ll grow into.

Welcome, David, and I'm glad you're here!

Is Walt your father? You may know that I flew the King Air 200 and the A36 for Beacon Oil out of Visalia back in 1978 for a few months, right before I started my King Air training company, Flight Review, Inc. Great people, your family! Lots of good, fun, memories came from that brief time...Garry Zinger, Chuck Robb, Dick Shannon. Ahhhh!

Thanks to all for the warm welcome!

Willis: I've not yet met Bill or Jerry, although I believe Bill flies for our company from time to time. I'll keep an eye out for both of them. It's a really wonderful aviation community here at KAUN.

Gary: That's one nice looking Skyhawk, isn't it? David is a great steward of that plane.

Mark: My uncle Tom is good friends with the Colonel and I understand he's around the field fairly often. He even signed our hangar wall -- quite an honor!

Sidney: Thank you, all of us kids feel pretty grateful to have had a grandfather who shared his love of flying with the family. Through his influence, we now have quite a mix of former military pilots, ATPs, and PPLs. The Dwelles' Flying Circus! :D
Our family business, Flyers Energy, built the hangar you see in 2016. It houses a diverse collection of aircraft, including the North American T-6 you spotted. If you should ever find yourself in Auburn, come have a tour!

Mike: I certainly hope you're right about that! :cross:

Tom: Walt is my uncle. I know that he too is fond of the old Beacon days. He still lives in Visalia and is very active in our business. I'll tell him you said hello!

Thanks again!!

David
