So I'm a 65 year old pharmacist (on the hospital side) with grown kids and the last one is in college. I've had a 29 year hiatus from flying and after years of just kids, I got back into my boating bug (fun for the whole family) and now I've the time, money and motivation to get back into flying. I learned to fly in Corpus Christi, Tx in a Beech Sport 150, and after my license I flew their Sundowner until it was lost in a fatal accident. So I moved on the Cessna 152's and 172's for the rest of my flying days. Marriage, a masters degree and kids soon ended both my boating and flying.
So anxious to get back to it. This summer I'm taking a couple of re-discovery flights to assure myself that I still love it, and this fall hope to put the boat to bed, and dive into getting current, safe and hopefully doing it in my own airplane. I've having a blast researching Beech's (and Pipers and Cessna's too) but my heart belongs to the Beech Mice family. I've joined the Beech Aero Club, AOPA and some generic flying forums and starting to learn how much as changed in 29 years!
