I’m Paden, a new member to BT located in Southern California. I’m an A&P, but with little GA experience, mostly all military, and a newly commercial rated pilot. I’m looking into possibly buying a plane in the next couple years if not sooner. I really like the looks of the bonanza, like that they have a good reputation and I like that the few that I have helped work on just feel like a much better stronger built airplane then cessna and pipers. Mostly looking at 35s as I love the looks of them and they suite mission requirements. I joined so I can learn as much about the Bonanza family as possible and things to look for that are specific to bonanzas, specifically typical issues to watch out for during the prebuy. Looking forward to getting to know people and learn more from everyone!

Welcome to BT Paden. You will learn all those things and more on BT.Some good, others not so much.
The Vtails are wonderful works of art, I grew up in one, so I don't know anything about tail waggle, other than it's a myth.
the most significant thing I know about prebuy issues is corrosion, especially on the ruddervators. If you don't already know, magnesium ruddervators are very scarce right now. And as of my last knowledge, there's not a replacement yet.
All the Bonanzas are great IFR platforms and in my opinion, there's no use having one if you don't have, plan on getting an IFR certification.
The Bonanza is infinitely upgradable, you can spend anywhere from 20 to100AMUs on panel upgrades. With a million different possibilities.
These airplanes, as they all are, are meant to fly. So be ready to fuel it. Remember the cheapest part of aircraft ownership is acquisition price.
Blue skies. Don't go inverted, unless you're in an F/E 33C and stay tuned.

Hey John. I’ve been flying out of KCMA for all my commercial training. And now doing a little flying out of KSZP with CP Aviation doing their EMT/UPRT & Aerobatic course. I’d love to check it out some time and learn some more about them.
