Good day everyone, Just a quick introduction before I start browsing BeechTalk. I'm from Belgium, in my mid 40's, contemplating aircraft ownership for the first time. With a huge dilemma: either a fun plane to do aerobatics, but that would be selfish, or a serious aircraft to travel and visit Europe with the family. For the latter, there's only one option, the venerable Bonanza... But it is a serious commitment, definitely financially, it takes time to decide and to take action I flew a lot 20 years ago, enjoying the nice view from 737 and 320 cockpits before changing path and becoming an Air Traffic Controller. Since then, it's been continuously itching and I truly miss being regularly a few thousand feet above the ground... So here starts my quest...

Welcome!
Your timing is good, i have to believe the next ~18 months will be a great time to be an aircraft buyer. A seller, not so much.

Just to let you know that I decided, or let's say my finances and my mission requirements dictated that a Bo was not going to be the first choice...So the "just for fun aircraft" it will be! And I found, purchased and started flying with it: Pilatus P3 from 1959! Picked-up in Switzerland, brought to Belgium.

Merci! En parlant de poids, celui-ci est construit comme un tank, mais vole presque comme une libellule! J'ai découvert le P3 par l'intermédiaire d'un collègue, et j'ai rapidement été séduit.

I would have loved the 33 Aerobatic, but the hassle of buying one in the US, ferry, etc...too much. But, coud be a nice project! Now you got me started on something!!!

Salut Seb! Things are a bit... complicated right now, but we perhaps we could all arrange something once we can cross the border again! Lunch at Le Touquet for instance

Lunch at Le Touquet for instance Good evening Fabien, That would be really amazing. Le Touquet is only a short flight from where I am and I love going there. What aircraft do you fly?
