Hello Everyone, only been on the site a day and what some great information. Currently part owner of a 150 but we are looking to add a larger, able to travel airplane to the group. We are on the fence on which way to go but overall a v-tail seems like a great option. Hoping to learn about what model will fit our needs the best. Maybe learn on insurance needs and what to look for in a pre buy. all 3 of us are A & P's with lots of helicopter experience. Currently learning more of the fixed wing enviornment.
thanks jeremy

Hello All, Thank you all for the inputs. I have around 125 hours, so yes low time. Working on my instrument rating at the moment. I have flown a 182 and loved it. Good alternative but price they seem to be going for would be out of my budget for a temporary airplane. I liked the speed of the Arrow I have flown. Nice fuel burn, more simple platform. I wish it had a larger cabin. My ultimate goal is to buy a long term airplane that will fit my needs for a long time is the goal. Which is to travel. I want to fill with avionics that will make it a solid ifr platform. I will be riding with a couple people in the near future. One has a V35B- with a lot of similar upgrades i would like to have. He just flew it to the bahamas and back. Another guy has a mooney with tks and he flies it everywhere, i hope to check out, but again small cabin. We are leaning on the V tail because seems to be more affordable. I would hope to find a solid airframe, time left on engine/prop, govonor style prop(non-electric) that i can fill with the electronics we want.
thanks jeremy
