Hi all, new to B/T. Just bought a 55 F-35 that has been sitting for 9 years. Couldn't get it to fire the first time I tried, so I let it sit for a week, and let the fuel soak in the carb. Went to go fire it up and she cranked right over. Now it is off the coast and in Sunny AZ. I am based at RYN. I also have a PA-22-150, but wanted something with a tad more speed and range, it has the wing Aux tanks.
She flew the 3 hours home well, although I didn't bring the gear up, so it was almost like flying the Tri-Pacer. Except for, I thought a little high CHT, She's another great bird to have. Full IFR except that the Auto pilot was removed, so I will need to get a new DG and of course ADSB. Now if it wasn't for that dam prop AD I would be a happy camper.

Hi Dave, 21 miles east, puts you in vail or Benson. Really cold the last week, you didn't bring any of this weather with you! Glad to meet you. Do you fly your plane down? We have a v35 here doing a annual from the State of WA.

We have a v35 here doing a annual from the State of WA. Ed, I wasn't in Tucson during the cold, I was in Minnesota. But my wife was here. It didn't seem to bother her much except to put on some layers when walking the dog. I still work, so I divide my time between clients, Webster, and Tucson. I have not yet flown the airplane down. All the trips thus far have been in the truck bringing a few things out, or trips on the airlines to reposition me. Chip (the airplane) needs an autopilot before I will feel OK about such a long day of flying. I have a CIIB on the bench, but it needs a few bits of harness and an Attitude Gyro. Either that or I have to get one of the expensive new boxes. My GPS is a "Curser, big knob twist, little knob twist" KLN90B. My annuals are in North Carolina, so I understand the "go a long way to have your airplane worked on" mentality. Warmly, Dave

Where are you located, I keep my plane over on the west side Hanger D1 right next to Jaun, the Avionics shop. Hope to see you around some time, Prop going in for it's AD and I am going through the gear, so flying my Tri-Pacer at the moment, It looks likes Mark's if you know who he is.

Quote: I have Scott at RYN do a fair amount of my maintenance so I'm there occasionally. Know Scott quit well, he is a good guy to go to, and lends a hand to us all here at RYN
