I know nothing very specific about the Beech family, but I'm told there are often good technical discussions on BeechTalk, so here I am.
About 900 hours in my current airplane, an RV-8. Write for Kitplanes when I'm not a used commercial truck dealer. OSH Gold Lindy about 20 years ago. Rapidly becoming an old fart.

Welcome to BT.
You will find out a ton of stuff about flying here.
You will also find out a ton of stuff about things that don't have anything to do about flying.
Just keep away from religion, politics, or calling names and you will wonder how you did without BT.

Hey Dan - welcome to the gang here on BT.
I very much appreciate your well-informed and thought-provoking posts over on VAF. Your burn tests convinced me to change my method of constructing firewall feedthroughs.
Needless to say, I'm looking forward to your participation here.

LOVE Kit planes! I get about 4-5 airplane magazines... many of them go un read or just flipped through... but kit planes.... every page, every month! (or whoever the publish rate it!) Welcome to Beechtalk... there are some serous experts here, and even a few of us crazy enough to be building a plans built while they fly their Bo! (Hatz in my case).
